SOE's Social and Environmental Responsibility (CSR) program is an activity that is a company's commitment to sustainable development by providing benefits to the economy, social, environment, law and governance with principles that are more integrated, directed, measurable impact on the wider community. Often also called CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility). Pelindo's TJSL program, which is a 3 priority program, includes:
Education Care Program
The TJSL program in the field of education is the company's effort in equitable distribution of quality education so that Indonesian children have easy and accessible access to science and technology.
Environmental Care Program
Pelindo fully supports the Indonesian government's commitment to address global warming and climate change. Moreover, as a corporation engaged in port and logistics services, the Company has great potential to be negatively affected by global warming and climate change. Global warming will cause the ice in the north pole to melt and trigger a rise in sea levels so that areas or buildings located in coastal areas have the potential to be submerged, even drowned. The Company's commitment and concern to realize environmental sustainability is also influenced by Pelindo's operational practices that contribute to greenhouse gas emissions from the use of electrical energy and fuel oil in daily operations. Not only that, port and logistics services also produce waste, especially garbage, which contributes to greenhouse gas emissions if not managed properly. Pelindo's support cannot be separated from the Company's commitment to move together with other stakeholders to realize environmental sustainability.
MSE Development Program (Small Medium Enterprises)
The contribution of SOEs in empowering MSMEs, cooperatives and communities is strengthened by the issuance of Regulation of the Minister of State-Owned Enterprises of the Republic of Indonesia No. PER-05/MBU/04/2021 on the Social and Environmental Responsibility Program of State-Owned Enterprises (TJSL BUMN). Based on the latest regulation, SOEs can implement CSR through the Micro and Small Business Funding Program or MSE Funding Program, as well as Assistance and/or Other Activities.
